This September marks 4 years since I started vlogging for my YouTube channel — woah. In that time, my vlog setup has changed dramatically, both in quality and also the physical size and weight. I decided it was about time to share a breakdown of my best vlog setup, using the Panasonic GH5 with dual audio from a RØDE VideoMic Pro+ and Sennheiser AVX-MKE2 lav mic.

I collaborated with Thomas Heaton, a fellow photography YouTuber based in the North East of the UK, on a “One Word Brief” to make a piece of content using photography.
Last week I did my first YouTube Live session, having previously teased in recent videos since purchasing my Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder, that I would be starting a series of live “shows”. The broadcast was a simple unboxing of a collection of microphone equipment that RØDE had sent me, followed by an impromptu Q+A session. Read on to see my thoughts of how it went!
